Now, I've never even THOUGHT about getting lash extensions, but apparently this is a real thing. And apparently it's popular.
However, do you know how much it COSTS to get lash extensions? It cost up to 350.00 with 60.00 touch-ups! For my family, that's 2 weeks worth of groceries! I don't know how this is affordable, or why this might be a priority for some people. (Even if I were rich, there's no way I'd be spending that kind of money on something like that.) PLUS, lash extensions are extremely damaging to your real lashes.
On the other hand, there are fake lashes. I'm extremely familiar with fake lashes. For the longest time, I would wear fake lashes for every picture I was in, because it made my eyes pop. I also wore them on stage, as I've done a lot of community theater, and making your eyes obvious is a big deal. The problem with fake lashes is that they LOOK fake. They also itch, get caught, come unglued, and they're just SO uncomfortable.
Well, I came across one lovely gem, which was a professional headshot of me from a few years back. And I'm wearing FAKE lashes. Now, don't get me wrong, I look good! But then, I compared my picture to my recent ones, where I've got my magic mascara. And guess what? THEY LOOK BETTER!
